They're dieing off bwahaha! There's only a tiny batch left in the kitchen. Maybe the odd one upstairs. They're getting extinct YAY

Update (August)
[ I came home from a one week vacation, and there appears to be less around the house. Perhaps it was because there were no factors fitting for their survival; no light, no water, no oil, no food crumbs. However I had to squish about 5 yesterday night. There's some improvement. I just hope they don't respawn now that I'm home.. ]

Okay. so my house has become a home for lots of stupid tiny red-brown (mahogany) coloured circular shaped bugs that are about 1-2.5 mm long that can fly. They crunch when I pinch them, meaning they have a shell. They have tiny beetle like legs.

At first, my family thought they were supposedly rice-feeding insects (mie fan / fan mie in cantonese).. But they don't only appear in the kitchen now.. They started in the kitchen, but sometimes I see a few upstairs.I kill about 5-10 a day. It's extremely annoying.
I haven't found the exact source, but I have a feeling that they're definitely from the kitchen, but I'm too afraid to look because I hate hate hate hate bugs. My parents pushed away the problem, although it's clear that these bugs are multiplying. Eew. This is gross. So I think I'm on my own

So does anyone have these kind of parasites in their house before? Do you do bug-genocide? lmao. How would you take care of these kind of situations.
